Fire on ice Spinoff #4!

The DTP Fire on ice - Spinoff event is known for its crazy steel wool spinning and amazing contraptions that our spinners create.  The goal is to get the votes of the photographers who register to shoot the event.  The spinner with the most votes wins $100.00 cash and the title of best spinner!

This is a fun event that is more of an extravaganza than a class therefore the cost is only $40.00 each photographer.

Low light action series - Wrestling!

The low light action series has helped many people make better photos of action in low light situations.

Even though the content for this session is professional wrestling, the concepts covered will apply to any action you shoot indoors.  From swimming to hockey to everything in between.  Professional wrestling provides the unique opportunity to create a story and tell an emotional side to sports that you don't normally get.  A large part of the curriculum for this session is how to tell that story in a single image.

We will be working at Crossbody wrestling facility in Kitchener, On and will have a 4 hour session complete with pro wrestlers working just for us!

We supply the ring, the wrestlers, and the instructors and we'll be challenging you to push yourself to achieve the perfect action photo.

The instructors for this session are Bryan Weiss and Blake Zimmerman, both professional wrestling photographers for Barrie Wrestling and of course they are both educators and have run these sessions with Daytripper Photo many times.  You are assured an amazing experience and you'll learn how to shoot with or without flash.

Algonquin Spring Waterfalls

This April 30th will mark our 10th spring Algonquin Park trip.  While the contents of the session have changed from year to year, the vibe and experience is always the best it can be!

We will be visiting waterfalls at the perfect time of day to capture stunning images and we will be by your side the entire time offering advice and tips on how to best use your camera to achieve your photographic goals.

With a full photography essentials class on the way there and a follow up photo review at The Loft Studio in Newmarket a week after the session and Sigma lenses to use throughout the day, this session is one of the best ways to learn photography.

Island overnight - The skies and landscape of northern Ontario

This will be our second session up in Lake Nippising just outside of North Bay.

The photo opportunities abound on this private island.  From the smallest mushroom to the vast clear northern sky.  We will be issuing photo challenges and running actual photo classes while in the best environment to learn.

In 2016 we saw fields of Sandhill cranes, a perfect sunrise and sunset, and were blessed with the greatest light show on earth, the Northern Lights.

Everyone on the trip said they had bucket list moments and their photos prove it.
